Pelvic Rehabilitation and Wellness Center

Our Approach to Pelvic Health Care in Manalapan, NJ

Your Care Begins With a Private, One-on-One Evaluation

Your pelvic floor physical therapist takes the time to understand your symptoms, how they affect your life, and the factors that may be contributing to them. From there, we create a personalized treatment plan based on your individual needs and goals.

Pelvic floor physical therapy remains the foundation of your care throughout treatment. When additional specialists or treatment options can improve your results, we include them in your plan at no extra cost so you receive the care best suited to you.

Your plan may include occupational therapy, nutrition support, massage therapy, personal training, biofeedback, dry needling, red light therapy, compression therapy, guided nervous system regulation, and access to our Restoration Suite.

Get Back to The Life You Want to Live

Whether your goal is exercising without leaking, enjoying intimacy without pain, recovering after pregnancy or surgery, traveling with confidence, or simply getting through the day without constantly thinking about your symptoms, your treatment plan is built around what matters most to you.

Because success is not measured by what happens in our clinic. It is measured by what you are able to do when you leave.

Clinical Tools

Used when they serve a purpose

Each tool is utilized when needed based on your clinical need, and included in your personalized program.

Pelvic floor biofeedback

Biofeedback measures pelvic floor muscle activity and provides visual or auditory feedback. It may be used to improve awareness and help train contraction, relaxation, or coordination when appropriate.

Real Time Rehabilitative Ultrasound Imaging
Real time ultrasound imaging may be used to observe abdominal wall or pelvic floor movement during breathing, muscle activation, and exercise. It provides visual feedback that can assist with movement and coordination training.
Electrical stimulation
Electrical stimulation may be considered in selected cases to assist with pelvic floor muscle activation or neuromuscular retraining when clinically appropriate.
Dry needling

Dry needling may be used as one part of treatment for selected musculoskeletal pain or muscle related problems in the hips, low back, or pelvic region when clinically appropriate.

Red light therapy
Red light therapy is available as an adjunctive treatment option. It is not a replacement for pelvic floor rehabilitation and is used only when the treating clinician determines it is appropriate.
Therapeutic ultrasound
Therapeutic ultrasound may be used in selected situations based on clinical need. It is also available for certain persistent lactation related breast symptoms when appropriate.
Restoration Suite and Guided Relaxation
Our Restoration Suite provides a quiet environment for guided relaxation and recovery strategies that may be incorporated into care when appropriate.
SoftWave™ Therapy
SoftWave is an acoustic wave treatment offered separately from our standard pelvic floor therapy programs. It may be considered for selected musculoskeletal pain conditions based on clinical findings. Results vary, and it is not appropriate for every patient.
