SoftWave™ Tissue Regeneration Therapy is an FDA-cleared, non-invasive treatment that uses advanced acoustic wave technology to accelerate healing, reduce pain, and restore tissue function, without injections, medication, or downtime.
Dampens the inflammatory cycle that sustains chronic pelvic pain and tissue restriction
Acoustic waves penetrate deeply to disrupt and remodel adhesions and scar tissue, including C-section and surgical scars
Stimulates angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels, improving circulation to healing tissue
Triggers stem cell recruitment and growth factor release which accelerates natural tissue repair from within
Many patients report meaningful reduction in pain within one to three sessions
SoftWave™ uses extracorporeal shock wave technology (ESWT), delivered through a handheld applicator which sends focused acoustic waves into damaged or restricted tissue. The waves create a controlled mechanical response at the cellular level, triggering the body’s natural repair processes without breaking the skin.
In the context of pelvic health, this means reaching the deep tissue layers where chronic pain, scar adhesions, and circulatory restriction live, areas that hands-on manual therapy alone may not fully access.
Sessions run 10–20 minutes. Your therapist applies a conductive gel and moves the handheld applicator across the treatment area while you lie comfortably. Most patients feel mild pressure or warmth, and occasionally light tingling in areas of restriction. Significant discomfort is uncommon. Intensity is adjusted to your feedback throughout. There is no recovery time. You resume your day immediately. Tissue repair continues for days after each session, so improvement typically builds progressively across the treatment series rather than appearing after a single visit.
SoftWave™ is very effective when targeted to a specific clinical problem. These are the presentations where we most commonly integrate it into a pelvic health care plan.
Persistent pelvic pain driven by tissue restriction, inflammation, and nervous system sensitization. SoftWave™ reduces the inflammatory cycle and begins the tissue repair process that manual therapy can then build on.
When pelvic floor tension, tissue restriction, scar adhesions, or chronic inflammation affect blood flow, nerve sensitivity, and muscle coordination, it can contribute to pain with intimacy, erectile dysfunction, and reduced sexual performance. SoftWave™ works to address the tissue component directly while improving mobility, circulation, and overall pelvic function.
